Humans and animals have lived together a long time. The development of agriculture caused man to domesticate some animals for food purposes. Other creatures still remained in the wild. Today, the animals we domesticated with us remain. There’s even one mysterious companion animal that experts debate merely lets us consider it to be domesticated so we will feed it. Living naturally with wild animals does not take much effort.

Some wild animals came into our cities along with us. Robins, sparrows, pigeons and crows found a ready food source.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here. People may consider pigeons and crows to be little more than pests, but they are smart birds who found an effective survival strategy. When a hiker or a camper goes out into the woods, the hiker or camper needs to remember that he is in the territory of wildlife. He should not go out of his way to disturb animals, many of whom are naturally skittish around people. People who engage in recreational activities need to remember to leave the land they use with little to no evidence that a person has used it.

Most creatures will not bother people as long as people do not bother them. Certain areas do require a person to take special precautions against dangerous creatures.
